Steve Maraboli- a speaker, bestselling author, and Behavioral Science Academic- wrote â€Å"there is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.† This is true, however, it exists very rarely in our society. Women are not accepting of their imperfections and glorify them, instead they hide them to unify under society’s standards of beauty. Over the course of our history, women have been victims of society’s ideals. Society forces false images of beauty and love onto women, forcing them to have fictitious notions of what happiness is and how to be happy. This can be seen in both Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. In both novels, women are subjected to society’s harsh standards of love and beauty. In The Bluest Eye this is seen through the characterization of Pecola Breedlove, Pauline Breedlove, and Geraldine. Toni Morrison purposefully emphasizes the ideas of love that both Pauline Breedlove and Geraldine have, for the intention of highlighting the misconceptions of love they both have as a subject of society. When Mrs. Breedlove was two years old she stepped on a rusty nail that pierced her foot and left her with a permanent limp. Outline of the Business Operation in Ministry of Public Transportation The project of Ministry of Public Transportation is a development of a web and mobile application named Bid Taxi that will improve the ride sharing services. The existing taxi system is based on a prefixed rate, and this project is expected to replace the service by providing a better and cost effective riding experience for the clients (Weng et al., 2017). The project Bid Taxi can be described as a platform that will provide an on demand app or web booking services that will allow the customers and the drivers to have an opportunity to connect to the competitiveness and control. It is capable of changing the existing rules that is in use for sometime (Chen, 2014). The main objective of this taxi service is to improve the ride sharing experience, which is beneficial from the business point of view as well. The business operation of Bid taxi is simplified by allowing on the certified drivers to participate in the bidding process (Wang, Cheu Lee, 2014). This ensures that the customers will not face any problem in their journey and this in turn will engage more customers with the application. Ministry of the Public Transportation in order to enhance their business operation, incorporated a star rating system for both the customer and the driver. This rating system will allow the Ministry of Public health in identifying the different loopholes associated with service that will further help the organization in improving or modifying the services provided to the client. This feedback system is one of the major tools of enhancing the business operation as the customers or even the drivers in this case will be able to voice out their opinion about the services offered to them. This will in turn increase the customers and the drivers satisfaction. More the satisfied a customer is, more they will engage themselves with the service (Pueboobpaphan, Indra-Payoong Pueboobpaphan, 2018). This will in turn increase the profit of the organization as well. The Ministry of public Health has ensured that the passengers who do not have an access to the Smartphone can also use the service with the help of the website. This is another major business tool that the Ministry of Public Health has used to target a large section of audiences. This furthermore ensures a hassle free ride booking services with the help of Bid Taxi. Ensuring the presence of both web and mobile booking service is another major process incorporated by Ministry of Public Health to promote the Bid Taxi services among majority of the people (Lucas Lau, 2012). This in turn will ensure an increasing profit for the organization as well as more people will be able to engage with the application from web or mobile. The payment option for the Bid Taxi services is sorted as well. Passengers can pay with their credit or debit cards for their journey at the end of the journey or can even use Osko for making the payment (Wang Chen, 2012). Osko is one of the innovative payment options as the customers can pay with the help of a registered mobile number. The bank details of the customer are saved in the Osko app and the passenger just need to take the mobile number of the recipient in order to transfer the money. The Osko payment will be held by the Bid Taxi office and therefore it will be a safe and secure option for payment (Maciejewski, 2014). Bid taxi enables the passenger to pay according to their convenience, which is another major advantage of using Bid Taxi and an intelligent business processes undertaken by the Ministry of public Transportation. If the passenger does not possess any of the payment options, he can purchase a gift card from the supermarket as well for making the payment. There fore, this project will provide a convenient ride for the passenger and a secure payment option and payment receive method for the driver. This will in turn increase the possibility of the engagement of more certified drivers and loyal customers with the application which will increase the profit obtained from the entire project. Another major business operation that is undertaken by the Ministry of Public health Transportation is to encourage of the service loyalty for the customers. In this program, each passenger is provided with a status point for the rides paid. These points will provide different discounts to the passengers in their future trips. These discounts can be given to the driver as tips for providing excellent services or can be donated to the charity. This is another intelligent business process that will not only increase the customers engagement with the application but will also promote a good cause. In this project, the benefits will be provided to the drivers as well. The driver providers who will complete a target of time and distance will be rewarded with the fuel discount gift by the company. This will not only engage more drivers with the service, but will also encourage the drivers in providing a good service to the passengers. Therefore, Ministry of Public Transportation has developed an extremely enhanced business operation of Bid taxi that will provide a hassle free riding experience for the passengers. This system is expected to attract a lot of passengers as it will provide them a hassle free option of booking a taxi and the paying for the ride. More driver providers are expected to involve with this project as there are certain rewards for the drivers as well. However, the services of Bid taxi can be further enhanced by incorporating certain other features in the application (Debnath et al., 2014). The recommendation for improving the services provided by Bid taxi is discussed in the following section. Recommendations for improving the Bid taxi service The bid taxi service can be enhanced or improved if certain modifications are made with the existing operation and process of services provided to the passengers. The processes that are recommended for the services are identified keeping in mind the profit of the organization and ease of access of the services by the passengers. The recommendations for improving the Bid business operation of the Bid Taxi services are as follows- The waiting time for the booking of a cab should be reduced in order to target the passengers who need to book a ride on an urgent basis. The process of broadcasting the details of the journey obtained from the customer requires at least ten minutes (Maciejewski, 2014). This can be substantially reduced by incorporating the provider of the drivers in the application portal so that they can get live updates of the requests made by the customers. This is expected to reduce the waiting time for booking a taxi (Bai, Atkin Kendall, 2014). Bid Taxi can incorporate an option of renting the taxi not only for short distance but for long tour as well. This will increase the profit margin of the company. The application can work for both short and long distance journey, which will make the services, offered by Bid Taxi even more user friendly (Lee Wu, 2013). A feedback system can be incorporated so that the customer can provide their views about the services provided by Bid Taxi which will in turn enhance the business operation. These are the major modification that is recommended for Bid taxi and Ministry of Public Transportation. Conclusion Therefore, from the above discussion it can be concluded that the Bid taxi services has the capability of attracting a larger group of passengers as it provides a hassle free riding experience. The report identifies the working principle and the major business operation of Ministry of Public health in providing the Bid taxi services. The report further recommends certain ways the business operation of this project of Ministry of Public transportation. Bid taxi services can be enhanced for the customers by incorporating the option of booking taxi for a long journey as well. Bid Taxi is therefore expected to be a successful addition to the business of Ministry of Public Transportation 2.As evaluated in the previous section of the report, it is found out that the Bid Taxi is capable of providing a hassle free riding experience for the passengers and a great platform of securing jobs for the drivers. However, the services offered and the business operation of the bid taxi can be improved by considering certain modification in the entire process. The recommendation for improving the business service and operation for the Bid Taxi services are as follows- It could be made mandatory for the drivers who are engaging with the Bid Taxi services to participate in a 17 day training program to enhance their driving skills and other necessary skills that are required for providing a good riding experience to the customer. This can include the way of taking to the customer (Seesan, Rungkasiri Cooharojananone, 2012). Furthermore, the existing Bid Taxi service offers only the licensed drivers to engage with the services, Training can be provided to the unlicensed drivers to obtain a license required for working with Bid taxi. With the proper training the taxi drivers will be able to acquire soft skills for the giving better services to the passenger. A proper driver training is essential consideration as well since the customers will engage with the service only if the customers get a satisfactory service not only from the company but also from the driver of the taxi (Chen, 2014). The training program for the drivers will further improve their job opportunities as they will get a certified training experience from the Ministry of Public transportation. Bid taxi offers a ride sharing services, which indicates two or more passengers can share a ride (Inquiry, 2012). This can be risky for the passengers if any criminal boards a ride. There proper safety of the passengers is needed to be ensured. This will work in two ways. A driver needs to verify his identity to the passengers and the passenger needs to provide his identity proof while boarding a share ride as well. Furthermore, the ride will be tracked in a real time basis and there will be an option for the passenger to abort the ride at any point of time if any problem is faced while sharing the ride. This can be done from the application where the services are booked or from the website of the Bid taxi as well. This will furthermore enhance the customers trust and will encourage more passengers to use the services provided by Bid taxi. Considering the passengers safety should be a foremost aim for Ministry of Public Transportation (Haque, Chin Debnath, 2013). This recommendation therefore aims at improving the business operation by providing a safe and secure ride to the customers.
